Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 Hands on Review: A brilliant Combo of Convenience and Features
Philips has been making electrical home appliances and so they already have an established name. Thus it is expected that their products must be of top grade. And the Norelco 7300 is definitely one of such products.
I happen to have a fast growing beard and so I need to use this beard trimmer almost four times a week. With such frequent use, I thought the trimmer may falter. But Philips has not disappointed me yet, and so I hope their trimmer will last a long time.
A Wide Range of Trimming Options
The Norelco 7300 has more to it than meets the eye. This trimmer offers 18 length options for trimming your beard. It starts from 1 mm (1/32 inch) and it ranges up to 18 mm (23/32 inch). This wide range of length options allows you to try out any style you want.
Adjusting the length is a no-fuss business. There is a zoom lock wheel with which you can set your desired trimming length. Moreover, the adjustable comb helps in guiding the blades over the contour of your face. This makes trimming easy and comfortable. Along with beard, you can also trim your stubble with style. With the Philips 7300, you can trim down your stubble to a minimum of .5 mm.
The blades don’t require any maintenance. They run smoothly without any extra oil. Plus, the stay-sharp blades keep their edge even after using for a long time.
It is My Constant Traveling Partner
I have used regular razors for a long time. And whenever I went out of town, I had to carry a separate bag for my grooming tools. It was not really a pleasant experience. But I can very easily pack the Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 along with my clothes and stuff in a single bag.
However, the main reason it is a good traveling companion is that there is no risk of it getting switched on accidentally. The trimmer is equipped with Travel Lock that keeps it safe from turning on when you least expect it to. And so it will not waste any battery life in the process.
Long Lasting Lithium Ion Battery
Philips has used a Lithium Ion battery in the trimmer in order to deliver a long lasting battery life. Lithium Ion batteries are reliable in the sense that it will not produce any discharge. The insides of this battery won’t leak out after long and hard use. This keeps both the trimmer and you out of harm’s way.
Now the real reason why I mentioned the battery is long lasting because with only one hour charge the beard trimmer runs for 50-60 minutes. For casual users, the life is even longer than an hour.
The full recharge of your battery will make it last even longer. This feature has proven to be of great help to me. Because whenever I go on office tours, I don’t always have the time to charge the trimmer. So I recharge it once before going out of town. And the charge lasts for at least a week.
Vacuum in your Norelco
Although the long battery life is my favorite thing about the Norelco 7300, my wife’s favorite thing about is that it does not make any mess. The beard trimmer has an integrated vacuum system that sucks in all the hair into the handle. When you are done grooming, take off the handle and clean it with the brush that comes with the box.
This is great for one more reason. It saves a lot of time. Suppose, you are in hurry but have to do a quick grooming. The quick grooming is easy, but now the basin is covered in hair. Unless you are okay with that, generally cleaning the basin wastes a lot of time. Sometimes when I am in a rush, I leave the trimmer on the sink and clean it later when I come back home.
You Have Power Boost When You Need One!
The Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 makes it easy to trim thick and coarse hair. There is a Turbo Power button with which you can boost the cutting and fan speed. It is not necessary that you use it only for this purpose. I need to use this Turbo Boost quite a lot. It is really good for my thick beard.
The boost in the cutting speed does more than just make trimming quicker. The faster speed reduces tugging on the hairs and makes grooming a thick beard a comfortable job.

Final Thoughts on this Review
In today’s date, it’s hard to say that something is the best. So we make a list of things that all seem best. And then it becomes easy to say a particular item on the list is one of the best. Such is the case of electric beard trimmers. There are so many that choosing one is a tough job.
I had help in my case, so I have no experience on this matter. I have been using the Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 for quite a long time. And I use it more frequently than most people. This product is built to last. And the best part is that it does not make any mess.
